Health Care Management Certificate

Health Care Management - Graduate CertificateAccording to the U.S. Bureau of Labor and Statistics, employment of medical and health services managers is projected to grow 20% to 2026 with an estimated 424,300 positions. The Graduate Certificate in Health Care Management is designed to develop skills specific to the management of health care organizations.

Curriculum Overview:

The program consists of five courses for a total of fifteen credit hours.

  • HCA 515 Medical Care Organization
  • HCA 555 Analysis of Health Care Markets*
  • HCA 601 Financial Policy**
  • HCA 625 Health Informatics for Managers***
  • HCA 640 Health Care Law and Ethics*

*HCA 515 Medical Care Organizations must be taken prior to taking this course.

**FIN 501 must be taken prior to taking this course.

***HCA 515 Medical Care Organizations and HCA 555 Analysis of Health Care Markets must be taken prior to taking this course.

Admission Requirements:

Admission to the Graduate Certificate in Health Care Management requires an undergraduate degree grade point average (GPA) of 2.75 or current graduate standing with a minimum GPA of 3.0.

Health Care Management Certificate, Or Master of Health Care Management?

All of the courses that are part of the Health Care Graduate Certificate are offered as part of the Master of Health Care Management program. Certificate students interested in completing the Master of Health Care Management program are subject to the admission requirements for the program. Learn more here.
