Tech Certifications Program

It's no secret that technology certifications can boost your potential income, advance your career and give you the edge when you are competing for internships or career positions.

The Tech Certifications program is a partnership between Baldwin Wallace University, Cleveland State University, Lorain County Community College, the Burton D. Morgan Foundation, and the Entrepreneurship Education Consortium. 

If accepted to the program, you will receive:

1. Guidance and mentorship by a faculty member to select and complete a tech certification
2. Webinar invitations to learn more about tech startups
3. A scholarship to support the tech certification course and exam fee (if applicable) (subject to grant availability)
4. A stipend of up to $250 available to students who participate in certification/credential courses and exams with no associated fees

The Tech Credentials program is for current Cleveland State University students and our goal is to make both entrepreneurship and tech certifications more accessible. To be eligible, you must:

1. Be a current Cleveland State University student (undergraduate or graduate)
2. Agree to work with a designated faculty advisor
3. Have an interest in entrepreneurship
4. Agree to fill out the pre- and post-program survey

If accepted to the program you will be asked to respond to a pre-program survey to gather data from each participant regarding attributes related to entrepreneurship and career aspirations. You will be asked to complete the survey a second time, at the conclusion of the program to help us evaluate and improve entrepreneurship programs.
