The Ohio Export Internship Program (OEIP) was selected by NASBITE International (the leading authority and industry standard for global business education, trade credentialing, training and practice) to receive the 2021 Advancing International Trade State Award for advocacy of global trade and global business education. The award was presented to representatives of the program at the NASBITE International Annual Conference May 18th through May 20th.
Cleveland State University is one of four Ohio universities to offer the OEIP. Administered by Nate Ward, Director of the CSU Small Business Development Center Export Assistance Network and Thein Bui, Trade Advisor, the program involves a Spring semester course focused on exporting with summer internships at local Ohio businesses trying to expand nationally.
