Rebecca Neumann

Rebecca NeumannRebecca Neumann is the Rotary Club of Cleveland's Excellence in Business Economics honoree for 2023. Rebecca grew up in Avon Lake, Ohio and up until high school, attended the Avon Lake public schools. She switched over to the Ohio Virtual Academy for high school. 

After graduating in 2017, she took a gap year before going to Lorain County Community College.  At LCCC, she originally majored in Accounting before deciding that she wanted to pursue an Associate of Arts degree in Finance. After earning her associate’s degree at LCCC, Rebecca then transferred to Cleveland State University. By this time, she had realized that she was most interested in economics, so she decided to major in Business Economics and minor in Finance. Rebecca says that she loves the social science aspect of Economics and believes that it is an important field. She will graduate this summer with a GPA of 4.0. 

To date, Rebecca has completed a tax internship at the Cleveland Clinic and will soon start an internship at GBX Group (an urban real estate firm) as a Silverlode and Data Analytics Intern. After graduation, Rebecca hopes to seek full-time employment in the Cleveland area so she can use her analytical economics skills.

Rebecca enjoys spending time with her pets and playing video games. At one time, she even had a dog treat baking business. She has cared for many pets, including dogs, cats and rats, among others. She also enjoys working with clay, doing paper crafting, playing card and board games.
