Nyamweru Adronic

Nyamweru AdronicNyamweru Adronic is the Rotary Club of Cleveland's Excellence in International Business honoree for 2023. Nyamweru says she was once told that being different is what makes you special, and that no matter how hard you try to fit in, you will always stand out because you are one-of-a-kind.

Nyamweru was born and raised in Tanzania, a country in east Africa. She says growing up as an African child was a blessing as she was fortunate to have amazing parents who have always stood by her side. They taught her important values, such as placing her trust in God and the importance of education as the key to success.

Nyamweru graduated from Cleveland Central Catholic High School in 2019 and began her college journey at Hiram College. In 2020, she transferred to CSU, where she has been involved in a number of extracurricular activities, such as The National Society of Leadership and Success, Beta Gamma Sigma and the Student Government Association. She served as the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and as Director of Sustainability for CSU’s TRIO program, which provides special services to first-generation college students.

After completing her Bachelor of Business Administration in International Business and graduating Summa Cum Laude, Nyamweru hopes to find full-time employment and begin preparing for the LSAT, as law school is her next step. Her goal is to make an impact and leave a legacy here at Cleveland State University. As an African-born student, she says she is now proud to call this continent her home sweet home, and she is grateful for the many blessings that have come her way.
