Stephen Ferguson

Stephen Ferguson - 52nd Rotary Scholars AwardsOn Thursday, April 30th 2020, the Rotary Club of Cleveland presented Stephen Ferguson with the Awards of Excellence in International Business. Stephen grew up in Wellington, Ohio, one of four brothers who all graduated from Wellington High School. Since Wellington is a small village, Stephen wanted a college experience that was in a large city but that still had a small town feel. Upon touring Cleveland State University, he knew that CSU was the choice for him, so much so, that CSU was the only college to which he applied.

Stephen says that he has enjoyed all four years at CSU. He has had two internships, one at Nordson Corporation as a Payroll/Tax Accountant Intern and one at Penske Truck Leasing as a Sales Representative. Working is not new to Stephen. He has had jobs since he was twelve years old and was able to bring his work ethic to college and his other jobs. Stephen hopes to obtain a full-time international sales position and has longer term goals to travel the world and potentially become President.

An Eagle Scout, Stephen's first trip outside of the United States was to Morocco in January of 2019 during a study abroad trip led by faculty member Donna Davisson.
