Peter T. Toth

Peter Toth - 52nd Rotary Scholars AwardsOn Thursday, April 30th 2020, the Rotary Club of Cleveland presented Peter Toth with the Awards of Excellence in Information Systems. Peter was born in Cleveland and attended Lutheran High School West, where he graduated as valedictorian of the Class of 2015. Peter attended The Ohio State University for his freshman year of college and then transferred to Cleveland State, which he found to be a better fit.

Peter took part in the Information Systems Co-op program starting in his junior year. He spent his first 6-month rotation in 2018 working in business intelligence at the Cleveland Clinic. He discovered that he enjoyed programming most of all his classes and for his next 6-month rotation in 2019, he worked in software development at TimeKeeping Systems. He is currently working at TimeKeeping Systems part-time and plans to continue working full-time as a software developer after graduation.

Peter went on a two-week trip to Australia and New Zealand after graduating from high school and had many memorable experiences including holding a koala, seeing the Sydney Opera Hours and snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef.

Peter completed two rotations in the Information Systems Co-op program before graduating. His first rotation was at the Cleveland Clinic in the business intelligence department. His second rotation was at Timekeeping System doing software development. After his co-op at Timekeeping Systems, he was hired part-time in his final semester at Cleveland State and was hired on full-time after graduation.
