Kailey Klein

Business alumna and former basketball standout Kailey Klein had the honor of being the first CSU woman to have her jersey number retired by Cleveland State University. In the February 6th, 2016 ceremony, she shared the stage with NBA's Norris Cole, President Ronald M. Berkman, Men's Basketball Coach Gary Waters and Women's Basketball Coach Kate Peterson Abiad.

"CSU is my second home," Kailey said. "The love I get from people every time I step in this gym - it's amazing."

Kailey wore number 24 for the Vikings from 2006 to 2010. She led the Vikings to two NCAA Championship appearances and was a nine-time Horizon League Player of the Week. Kailey iss the all-time leading scorer in the history of CSU women's basketball with 2,140 points scored and 605 free throws made. She ranks third in free throw percentage (.794) and offensive rebonds (279) and eighth in rebounds (733).

Kailey graduated cum laude in 2010 with a BBA in Finance and now works as a Compliance Officer with the Chicago brokerage firm Rosenthal Collins. Read more about the ceremony in the Cleveland State University Engaged Blog article here.
