Entrepreneurship Students in MGT 443/543 - Prep for ErieHack
On Wednesday, December 5th, a team of Cleveland State students led by Weston Ideation Lab Manager and Professor Jay Schach presented their multidisciplinary solutions to Lake Erie's biggest challenges alongside Case Western Reserve University students.
The Cleveland State University class used LeanLaunchPadCentral, an online innovation ecosystem software that reinforced their classroom learning in MGT 443/543: Entrepreneurship. The Entrepreneurship course is an elective within the Monte Ahuja College of Business at Cleveland State open to all undergraduate and graduate students that teaches lean startup methodologies.

Part of the Cleveland Water Alliance's broader Erie Hack movement, this collaboration was designed to provide both CSU and Case students with skills to further compete in the $100,000 Innovation Challenge in 2019.

A panel of expert judges were on hand to provide the students with feedback. The judges included:

- Ken Loparo, Faculty Director of ISSACS and Co-Director of the IoT Collaborative at Case Western Reserve University

- Julie A Wolin Ph.D., Associate Chair and Professor of Environmental Science at CSU
Held on the Case Western Reserve University Campus in Clapp Hall, the project was made possible through collaboration with Case Western Reserve University Associate Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and Professor in the Department of Earth, Environmental and Planetary Sciences Department, Dr. Peter Whiting. Dr. Whiting required students in his EEPS 220 Environmental Geology course to participate.

- NanoPure: "Using Nano Technology to filter harmful metals in home water systems"
