EDWARD G. THOMAS, ED.D.

Edward G. ThomasEdward G. Thomas is Professor of Marketing Emeritus in the Monte Ahuja College of Business at Cleveland State University.  His articles have appeared in numerous journals in the marketing and business education fields.

Dr. Thomas has an admirable record of service to the University and the community. He was the faculty advisor for the CSU student chapter of the American Marketing Association from 1998-2007.  He is a past president of the Collegiate Chapters Council of AMA, and he was co-chair of the AMA International Collegiate Conferences of 2004 and 2005.  Dr. Thomas is a past president of the Rotary Club of Cleveland and of the Cleveland Rotary Foundation.  The Rotary Club of Cleveland presented him with the Club’s “Lifetime Humanitarian Award” in 2007.

Dr. Thomas served for almost 20 years in a number of administrative positions in the College of Business, including department chair, assistant dean, associate dean and interim dean. He retired from CSU in May of 2008, after 35 years of service at the University. He continued to serve the College long after his retirement helping to coordinate the Annual Student Rotary Programs of Excellence. He was inducted into the Business Hall of Fame in 2009.
