Points of Pride

Alexander W. Caldwell

Alexander CaldwellAlexander W. Caldwell is the Rotary Club of Cleveland's Excellence honoree in Human Resources Management for 2024. Alexander has always lived in the Cleveland area.  He graduated from North Royalton High School in the class of 2020.

During his time at Cleveland State University, he completed three internships. One was at Applegreen, a company that operates service plazas on major highways. Another internship was for Brewer-Garrett, a company that provides energy-saving building-design solutions and services primarily for governmental, educational and industrial markets. Alexander’s most recent internship was with Arrow International, the world’s largest manufacturer of paper and electronic charitable gaming solutions, such as lottery tickets, bingo supplies and other gaming accessories. Alexander says, “These companies were chosen because each was unique in size, industry, and HR structure. I feel that my internships helped me to get a good understanding of my field of interest.”

Alexander will be graduating from CSU in May, and he hopes to obtain full-time, entry-level employment in the human resources management field in the Cleveland area. He also plans to get a master’s degree after gaining work experience in the field.

An interesting fact about Alexander is that, in 2019, he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout from The Boy Scouts of America. Says Alexander, “I developed a great appreciation for camping and for the outdoors from my time with the Boy Scouts. Some other hobbies of mine are kayaking, fishing, outdoor swimming and like any guy my age, video games.”
