Robert F. Scherer

Robert F. SchererBob Scherer is former dean and professor at the Monte Ahuja College of Business. His research portfolio includes more than 150 published scholarly and professional works. He serves the Journal of Social Psychology as an executive editor and was the lead editor for both editions of the book, A Field Guide to Internationalizing Business Education.

He has received over $5 million in federal and state grants for projects in the areas of global business education, small business development, and social service programming. Under his leadership, the College was awarded an Ohio Governor’s “E” Award  for Excellence in Exporting in 2005 and 2010. In 2011 the College was awarded a Presidential “E” Award for Export Service by the U.S. Department of Commerce.

Dean Scherer served as a Fulbright Senior Scholar in Chile and received two additional Fulbright awards (Legacy and Senior Specialist programs). He has developed, managed, and taught in academic programs in Europe, Latin America, and the Caribbean. He has served as a consultant or board member for over 50 organizations in the private, nonprofit, and public sectors.

Dean Scherer holds a B.A. from Miami University, an M.A. in management from the University of Redlands, and a Ph.D. in business administration from the University of Mississippi.
