Maryrose Sylvester

Maryrose Sylvester has a long and distiguished career with General Electric (GE). After joining the company in 1988 in their sourcing organization, she quickly progressed to management positions of increased scope and complexity, including general manager of Worldwide Sourcing, and general manager of High Output Products.

In June 2000, Slyvester became president and CEO for GE Lighting Systems in Hendersonville, North Carolina. In May 2002, she was assigned as president and CEO of GE Quartz. She was appointed as a company officer in December 2002. Ms. Sylvesterwas assigned to her most recent position as president and CEO of GE Fanuc in February of 2006. 

GE Fanuc is a joint venture between GE and Fanuc Ltd. of Japan and delivers automation hardware and software.

Ms. Sylvester attended Bowling Green State University and graduated in 1987 with a BS degree, with a dual major in procurement and production management. She completed her MBA at Cleveland State University in 1993.
