Garry O'Neil

Garry O'NeilGarry O’Neil is a co-founder of GOLV, a company he co-founded the in 2008 after a brief retirement from his former company, Electronic Exchange Systems (EXS). O’Neil co-founded ESX in 1991 and served as President and Chief Executive Officer until he sold the company in 2007. Mr. O’Neil’s extensive career in the payment services industry encompasses more than fifteen years.

Garry O'Neil was born in London, England, and grew up as a long-time resident of Euclid, Ohio. After graduating from Euclid Senior High School, he joined the Air Force in 1964. His military career included a tour in Vietnam and several stations overseas. Awarded the GI Bill of Rights, he returned to Ohio working part-time while attending Cleveland State University. Mr. O’Neil earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from CSU in 1973. After earning his BBA degree, Mr. O’Neil began his professional career working in sales with companies like Konica Minolta, Savin Corporation, and Spiedel.

Mr. O’Neil is chairman of the Membership Committee for the Electronic Transaction Association (ETA), and served on the Visiting Committee for the College of Business. He was inducted into the Business Hall of Fame in 2009.
