Ethan Holmes, owner of Holmes Made Foods, LLC and Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the Cleveland State University Small Business Development Center, was selected by the Cleveland Foundation to receive investments as part of Cleveland Chain Reaction! and was one of the two 2017 [M]SPIRE awards in August of 2017.

The [M]SPPIRE Awards is an annual entrepreneurship competition for entrepreneurs who are, or would like to manufacture their products in Northeast Ohio sponsored by MAGNET, the Manufacturing Advocacy and Growth Network. MAGNET is a non-profit organization that has been supporting small to medium-sized manufacturers for over 30 years. MAGNET received over 40 applications from entrepreneurs throughout the region. In October of 2016, Cleveland State University student, Brandyn Armstrong won the award for his company.

From the Cleveland Foundation, Holmes Made Foods, LLC will receive catalytic investments to relocate and grow their operations in Cleveland's Slavic Village Neighborhood. Chosen based on the organization's prospects for growth, as well as alignment with the Cleveland Foundation's mission to promote sustainable and inclusive opportunities that benefit Greater Cleveland's economy, neighbrohoods and residents, the College could not be prouder of Ethan who gives of his time and talents working with other entrepreneurs at the SBDC.

"We're thrilled that Ethan was chosen for these opportunities," said Katie Van Dyke, Director of the Cleveland State SBDC. "Ethan is a great Cleveland entrepreneur and we know he is destined for even more success to come. We are happy to have him on the team at the SBDC and grateful that he works with us to counsel other entrepreneurs."
