Cleveland Medical Hackathon - October 21-22, 2017

Cleveland Medical HackathonThe Cleveland Medical Hackathon aims to tackle challenges posed by the rapidly changing world of data collection in health care. The hackathon will look at problems related to big data and encourage solutions for health caregivers with the goal to improve care, reduce costs and enhance the overall health care experience.

The Cleveland Medical Hackathon is open to students, entrepreneurs, programmers, developers, designers, clinicians, patient advocates and researchers. This is a chance to interact with world-class health delivery systems (Cleveland Clinic, MetroHealth Systems and University Hospitals) and health care technology suppliers.

Participants can come to the Hackaton with an idea, pose a challenge or present a technology solution. Teams form around these ideas and move ahead creating solutions. After 24 hours, teams present to a panel of judges and win prizes. Projects are evaluated on creativity, execution and how well the project met the goal of the hackathon: how technology and innovation can help us leverage big data in big ways in health care.
