U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown is pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted for Propel Ohio: Collegiate Leadership Summit 2019.
Propel Ohio is a leadership program that promotes civic engagement and inspires undergraduate students to grow into civic leaders in Ohio. Last year, 300 Ohio student leaders and administrators from 69 colleges and universities attended the second annual Propel Ohio Collegiate Leadership Summit.
Propel Ohio 2019 will be held on Friday, November 15, 2019, at Bowling Green State University. The program actively engages college students to participate in civic engagement and become civic leaders. Senator Brown, guest speakers, and workshop facilitators will discuss how college students can tackle these challenges in their Ohio communities.
In addition to Senator Brown, other featured speakers include activist, author and civil attorney Monica Ramirez.
If you are an undergraduate student at an Ohio two-year or four-year public or private college, university or regional campus, you can submit your application here. The application deadline is Friday, October 11, 2019.
Each of Ohio's two-year and four-year public and private colleges, universities and regional campuses is invited to appoint up to four undergraduate students to attend the program from their application pools. Individual school slots may be reallocated to accommodate interest at the end of the application deadline as well. Senator Brown’s office will share applications with students’ respective colleges and universities for placement decisions.
