Dr. Iftikhar U. Sikder is an Associate Professor in the Department of Information Systems and the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the Monte Ahuja College of Business, Cleveland State University. He holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Computer Information Systems from the University of Maryland, Baltimore.

Dr. Sikder's core research utilizes Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) techniques—particularly Rough Set Theory, Granular Computing, Signal Processing and Wavelet theory. In particular:

· Soft Computing and Knowledge Discovery: Applying granular computing paradigms in knowledge induction and using Rough-Set approaches for knowledge discovery in classification.

· Spatio-Temporal Data Science: Discover spatio-temporal patterns and motifs using Machine Learning. Explores the nexus between environment and large-scale spatio-temporal events, using Wavelet Coherence for spatio-temporal characterization.

· Intelligent Agents & Geospatial IS: Design and implementation of Web-Based Collaborative Spatial Decision Support Systems (SDSS) and for locational planning. Also, semantic interoperability of geospatial services and implementing interoperability specifications for Web-Based Geospatial Services and integration with AI agents.

Dr. Sikder is an Associate Editor of Cybernetics and Systems- An International Journal

· Editorial Board Member for several international journals, including Frontiers in Artificial Intelligence, the International Journal of Soft Computing, and the International Journal on Perceptive and Cognitive Computing.
