  • Catalog Description: This course examines the use of generative artificial intelligence in multimedia production and digital business contexts. Students learn how AI generation systems function, apply structured prompting and iterative workflows, and produce multimedia content using current AI tools. The course also covers platform dynamics, monetization models, and ethical considerations related to AI-generated media.
  • Description: This course focuses on applied use of generative AI in multimedia production and digital environments. Topics include AI generation systems, prompt engineering, iterative design processes, media production concepts, platform strategy, and monetization approaches. The course also examines the role of AI in emerging digital production environments, including AI multimedia studios. The course emphasizes hands-on experience to ensure students acquire skills applicable in business environments.
  • Expected Outcomes

Upon successful course completion, a student will be able to: 

  1. Explain how AI generation systems (models and workflow) function in multimedia contexts.
  2. Apply structured prompting and AI-driven multimedia workflows.
  3. Analyze platform dynamics and develop strategies for digital content distribution and value creation.

  • Assignment Due Dates: Assignment due dates will be clearly listed on the syllabus and Blackboard Homepage. No extensions will be granted. Late assignments will be penalized 25% of the total possible points for the assignment.
  • AI Usage Policy: AI tools are required in this course. Students must use them in a structured, transparent, and responsible manner.
