Purpose of the Advisory Board

The Dean’s Student Advisory Board acts as a bridge between students and the leadership of the Monte Ahuja College of Business. Its mission is to ensure that student voices are heard and considered in decision-making processes by providing input on academic policies, programs, and initiatives. The board fosters collaboration between students and administrators to enhance the overall student experience.

Responsibilities of Board Members

Board members are expected to:

• Attend regular meetings (monthly or as scheduled) with the Dean and/or College of Business leadership.
• Provide constructive feedback on policies, curriculum, and student experiences.
• Participate in discussions to improve student engagement and professional development opportunities.
• Represent the student body by communicating concerns, ideas, and suggestions.
• Assist in organizing events, focus groups, and surveys to gather student input.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

• Be a currently enrolled student in the Monte Ahuja College of Business at Cleveland State University.
• Be in good academic standing.
• Demonstrate leadership, strong communication skills, and a commitment to improving the academic environment.
• Be able to commit to meetings and board-related activities for at least one academic year.

Selection Process

Applications will be reviewed by a selection committee consisting of faculty, staff, and students. Selected candidates may be invited for a brief interview before final decisions are made.
