Frequently Asked Questions About the Spring Business Career and Internship Expo

Q: Which CSU students will attend the Spring 2020 Business Career and Internship Expo?

A: While all Cleveland State students are welcome to attend the Business Career and Internship Expo, the Ahuja College of Business focuses on promoting attendance primarily to undergraduate and graduate students who are graduating in May 2020 or August 2020 that are actively seeking full-time career opportunities.

Q: If an employer doesn't have a career opportunity, can they still attend?

A: Of course! Employers are welcome to promote any of their full- and part-time career openings, as well as Summer or Fall internships and co-operative education positions.

Q: Do first year students attend the Expo?

A: Yes! We encourage all business students to attend the Expo and learn about the organizations in attendance. It is important to us that our first and second year students learn more about the opportunities in Northeast Ohio and potential internships and co-ops for the future.

Q: What is the difference between the Fall Business Internship and Co-op Expo versus the Spring Career and Internship Expo?

A: Based on our student population, for employers, the goals of the Spring Business and Career Internship Expo, in order, should be:

  1. Talent acquisition for current full-time career positions for students who will graduate from Undergraduate or Graduate programs in the Spring Semester (May 2020).
  2. Develop a talent pipeline of Undergraduate Juniors either for future career positions, training programs or internships.
  3. Speak with students about Summer 2020 or Fall 2020 internship positions.
  4. Develop connections with first-year and second-year students (undergraduate or graduate students) for future opportunities.

Based on our student population, for employers, the goals of the Fall Business Internship and Co-op Expo, in order, should be:

  1. Talent acquisition for current internship or co-operative education positions for students who will not graduate from Undergraduate or Graduate programs until the following year.
  2. Develop a talent pipeline of possible Freshmen or Sophomore Undergraduate students (or first year Graduate students) to meet future internship and co-operative education needs.
  3. Focus on talent acquisition for full-time career positions by speaking with students will graduate from Undergraduate or Graduate positions in the Fall Semester that the Expo is scheduled.
  4. Develop connections with all students for your organization's future needs.

Q: My organization's needs align with the Fall Expo - can we still attend the Spring Career and Internship Expo?

A: Of course! Employers are welcome to attend either the Spring or Fall events, or even both. We understand that your hiring needs may not align with our timing or the interests of a given student population. We want to make sure as a good community partner, that employers know the most likely student populations that attend each event and the mindset of our students for both events.

Q: How do I register?

Q: I have additional questions. Who can I speak with?
