Baker Bands 2025 Summer Internship

BakerBands Summer 2025 Internship

Program
Program Dates: May 5 – August 19
Format: Hybrid | Cleveland-Based + Remote Work + Nationwide Travel
About the Program
The BakerBands Summer Internship offers an inside look at how a garage-born startup evolved
into a nationally recognized brand. What started as a grassroots effort is now licensed by the
NCAA, partnered with the Harlem Globetrotters, and trusted by more than 200 professional
athletes and musicians.

This is a fast-paced, hands-on opportunity designed for entrepreneurial-minded students who
are ready to contribute to real business outcomes, not just observe them. Over the course of the
program, you'll gain direct experience in marketing, brand strategy, influencer management, and
live event activation, all while working alongside the team that built BakerBands from the ground
up.

Real Budgets, Real Accountability
Each intern will be entrusted with a real marketing budget to source, negotiate, and manage
influencer or ambassador partnerships. You'll be responsible for:
● Identifying potential influencers or content creators
● Developing outreach strategies and executing contracts
● Coordinating content and campaign deliverables
● Tracking growth metrics, sales performance, and engagement data
● Presenting weekly updates and strategic adjustments
This is an opportunity to learn how marketing dollars are spent and measured in the real world,
with performance and ROI driving decisions. At the end of the program, the top-performing
influencer (by direct revenue impact) will be recognized with a bonus.

Weekly Structure
Interns will work up to 16 hours per week on-site at the BakerBands offices in Ohio City
and/or Tremont, participating in strategy sessions, brand development workshops, and
collaborative projects. These in-person hours may be supplemented by additional remote work,
where interns will execute digital strategies, manage influencer outreach, and analyze campaign
performance. The hybrid structure is designed to reflect a fast-paced startup environment —
focused, flexible, and results-driven.
Day 1 – Full In-Office Strategy Session
Interns meet in person to align on weekly priorities, present influencer progress, review
campaign performance, and collaborate directly with leadership across departments. These
sessions are catered and designed to foster strategic discussion, idea sharing, and team
momentum.
Day 2 – In-Person Team Building & Breakout Projects
Focused on brand development and entrepreneurial growth. Interns will engage in team-based
workshops, marketing challenges, and creative development. You’ll gain insight into product
planning, brand voice, and the thinking behind BakerBands' expansion.
Day 3 – Remote Work Block (Half Day)
Dedicated to execution. Interns will use this time to follow up with influencers, analyze content
metrics, prepare reports, and manage the details that move campaigns forward

On the Road with BakerBands
In addition to in-office and remote responsibilities, interns will have the opportunity to travel to
10–20 professional athlete–hosted sports camps across the country throughout the
summer. These live events provide hands-on experience in brand activations, content
creation, and athlete engagement, while offering a unique chance to work directly with
professional athletes in dynamic, real-world settings. Interns will be compensated for their
time at each event, and all travel-related expenses — including flights, lodging, meals,
and daily per diem — will be fully covered.

Team Building: May 14 — HQ Session + Cleveland
Guardians Game
Interns will begin the day at BakerBands HQ, for our weekly collaboration and at lunch we’ll
head to a Cleveland Guardians game as a team-building outing to kick off the summer together.
End-of-Summer Review & Team Celebration: August 19

We’ll close out the internship with a final review session, where each intern presents the impact
of their work — from influencer performance to campaign contributions. It’s a chance to reflect,
share takeaways, and celebrate the collective growth of the summer.
Team Goal: 15,000 Followers
The intern team will work together toward a shared growth target: 15,000 new followers
across all BakerBands social platforms. If the goal is achieved, all interns will share in an
end-of-summer bonus.

Ideal Candidates
We’re looking for motivated, reliable, and creative individuals who thrive in collaborative
environments and aren’t afraid to take initiative. If you’re serious about learning how to grow a
brand from the inside, and you’re ready to be held to real expectations with real outcomes —
this is your opportunity
