International Applied Entrepreneurial Research Symposium
Catalyzing Change: Applied Entrepreneurship at the Intersection of Research, Innovation & Global Impact
November 11–13 | Cleveland, Ohio, USA
The International Applied Entrepreneurial Research Symposium invites scholars, educators, and ecosystem leaders from around the world to submit proposals that explore how applied entrepreneurship research and practice catalyze meaningful economic and social change.
At a time when entrepreneurship plays an increasingly critical role in economic resilience, innovation, and opportunity creation, this symposium seeks to bridge research and real-world application. The event brings together a global community committed to advancing entrepreneurship through evidence-based insights, practice-informed scholarship, and cross-border collaboration.
Scope of Submissions
We welcome submissions that present:
- Completed or emerging applied research
- Research-in-progress or early-stage studies
- Practice-based case studies and program evaluations
- Innovative pedagogical models, experiential learning approaches, or ecosystem initiatives
- Practitioner or policy perspectives grounded in data, experimentation, or structured reflection
Submissions may highlight research outcomes, preliminary findings, innovative programs, real-world experiments, or translational insights that deepen our understanding of how entrepreneurship is taught, supported, scaled, and sustained across diverse contexts.
Conference Themes
While submissions on a broad range of entrepreneurship topics are welcome, priority will be given to proposals aligned with one or more of the following themes:
- Entrepreneurial Learning
Learning environments, pedagogical approaches, experiential programs, and practice-based models that develop entrepreneurial capabilities and translate into venture or ecosystem outcomes. - Technology Frontiers and Data-Driven Entrepreneurship
AI-enabled venture creation, digital platforms, data and analytics for opportunity discovery, and emerging technologies shaping venture strategy, operations, and growth. - Entrepreneurship for Societal Good and Resilient Economies
Inclusive, sustainable, and mission-driven entrepreneurship that addresses social and environmental challenges while fostering economic resilience. - Global Ecosystems and Cross-Border Collaboration
Entrepreneurship ecosystems, policy environments, institutional frameworks, and international partnerships that accelerate innovation and venture scaling across borders.
Session Formats
Accepted submissions may be invited to participate in a variety of interactive session formats, including:
- Research paper presentations
- Research-in-progress roundtables
- Lightning talks on timely or emerging issues
- Workshops sharing applied methods, tools, or best practices
Session placement will be determined by the program committee based on content, maturity of the work, and overall program balance.
Important Dates
- Submission Deadline: June 12th
- Notification of Acceptance: Rolling acceptance, final August 1st
- Full papers (Research Paper category) due: October 31st
Submission Guidelines
The official conference language is English.
Conference proposals should include:
- Proposed session format
- Author(s): surname, name, institution, full address, email and brief biography
- Title of session
- Abstract (less than 300 words) with 3 keywords referring to the central themes of session
- For research paper sessions, please provide a mini-paper to include:
- A title and brief plan of the paper
- A paper written in Times New Roman 12, justified and A4 format. The paper must not exceed 8 pages with 1/5 line spacing, enclosing annexes and bibliography
- Tables and illustrations must be numbered and inserted within the text. The upper, lower and lateral margins should be equal to 2.5 cm.
