With the rise of globalization, international skills, foreign language proficiency and global-mindedness are vital to building a successful career in every area of business.

Join two representatives from Hyland, creator of OnBase, a local Fortune 100 tech company, as they discuss global career paths with an emphasis on careers in software localization and translation and share their career experiences as international businesswomen.

Valeria BurtonValeria Burton

Valeria is an alumna of the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba – Facultad de Derecho, where she studied law for five years. Even as a law student, she always had a keen interest and passion for languages and bilingualism. She decided to turn her passion into a career and started working as a bilingual customer service representative. After 3 years, she joined the translation industry, where started as a Project Manager for a leading Argentinian Language Service Provider, Hispano Language Advisory. She now works as a Spanish Translator at Hyland, creator of OnBase, where she uses her linguistic and graphic design skills to localize marketing, technical and training content to support Hyland’s expansion in Latin America.

Olga Nagdaseva - CSU Monte Ahuja College of Business AlumnaOlga Nagdaseva, MBA

Olga is originally from Moscow, Russia, and spent the last 16 years building her academic and professional skills in the Unites States. She is a two-time alumna of Cleveland State University's Monte Ahuja College of Business.  She completed her Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Management and Labor Relations in 2012, and received her Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 2014. Olga is tech enthusiast and is currently pursuing her career as Senior Test Technician at the International Quality Assurance Department at Hyland, creator of OnBase. In her current role, she is responsible for software localization and internationalization on OnBase, international software testing, translation of user interface (UI) for the Russian market. Olga’s professional and academic achievement have been recognized by the Plain Dealer and Smart Business magazine. She has received multiple professional awards for her dedication to her field and community involvement including being named one of the Top 25 Under 35 Movers and Shakers in Cleveland (read more here). Olga is very passionate about Cleveland’s international community and giving back to the local community.
