2026 Midwest Decision Sciences Institute Annual Conference

Operations and Supply Chain Management Students Competed

Students from the Monte Ahuja College of Business at Cleveland State University recently participated in the 2026 Midwest Decision Sciences Institute (MWDSI) Annual Conference, joining students, faculty, and industry professionals from across the region to explore emerging trends and innovations in business analytics, operations, supply chain management, information systems, and decision sciences.

Representing Cleveland State University at the conference were students Samanta Flores, Flavia Garcia Gutermuth, Kate Tran, and Courtney Mintz, accompanied by Faculty Advisor Lucian Vatamanu. Competing against teams from colleges and universities across the Midwest, the CSU team earned an impressive fourth-place finish.

The conference provided opportunities for students to engage in academic and professional discussions, attend research presentations, network with business leaders and scholars, and apply the knowledge and skills developed through their coursework and experiential learning experiences.
