Partnership program with the City of Cleveland

In Spring of 2026, the Monte Ahuja College of Business and the City of Cleveland launched the Information Systems: Classroom to the World of Work program to create a pipeline of skilled information systems professionals to support the region's growing technology needs.

The two-year program launched with a cohort of five students from the College pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems. Students will participate in a paid, full-time summer work experience with the City of Cleveland, as well as academic coursework and professional development activities throughout their two years in the program.

The partnership includes:

  • Real-world of work experience within the City of Cleveland making an immediate impact
  • Addresses the growing demand for information technology professionals throughout the region
  • An offer of a full-time position to a graduate of the program
  • A $2,000 scholarship for the summer semester to help offset tuition costs
