The Sport Management Institute serves as a complement to the Cleveland State Sport and Entertainment Management academic program and provides an opportunity to jumpstart your college career path. 

The Program Includes:​

• Three days of workshops
• Presentations from leaders in the Sport and Entertainment Industry
• Tours of major downtown sports venues
• Lunch provided daily 

What to Expect:

A three-day immersive workshop experience for high school students. By participating in The Sport Management Institute, you will experience a blend of classroom lectures from industry professionals, trips to area venues, team building projects, case studies and group discussions, all focused in Sport and Entertainment Management.

In partnership with the Monte Ahuja College of Business, Cleveland State University is ushering in a new era of excellence in Sport and Entertainment Management—blending high-quality education with real-world, hands-on experience.

Through interactive classroom lectures, engaging workshops and immersive activities, students gain valuable insights into the inner workings of the sport and entertainment industry. Located on CSU’s vibrant campus in the heart of Downtown Cleveland, the Institute offers unparalleled access to industry resources, venues and professionals.

The curriculum will explore core topics such as Marketing and Sponsorships, Community Relations, Event Management and Services, Venue Operations, and Safety and Security. Students will collaborate on real-world case studies designed to challenge their creativity, critical thinking and leadership skills.
