Hi Vikings!

My name is Rymwen Mil and I started my internship at Sherwin-Williams as a Systems Accounting Intern in July of 2019. My main tasks in this role were working with utilities. I process utility invoices for all Sherwin-Williams stores in the U.S. and Canada, communicating with the them and their vendors to make sure that their utility bills are paid to avoid any risks of shut offs.

In addition, whenever there is a relocation, closing or opening of a Sherwin-Williams store, I request to make the respective changes or additions into our system. Moreover, I obtain transaction reports for Caribbean Payroll for preparation for audit. Lastly, I clear suspense accounts for utilities that were coded wrong and moved to the correct utility accounts. Thus far, it has been a great experience and I have learned a great deal of things. With Sherwin's great flexibility, I will be continuing this internship throughout this school year and expanding my knowledge and skills in accounting - my major.
