Nikita Eremeev

My name is Nikita Eremeev and I am an International Tax Intern at Sherwin-Williams. Most of the time, I deal with the international tax legislation compliance in Canada, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. Monthly, I strive to meet all the deadlines regarding filing and paying different types of taxes but also claiming refunds for the above regions.

I have a broad range of obligations for my position at Sherwin-Williams, which include but are not limited to: reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and general ledger account entries; responding to inquiries, data requests, audits and proposed adjustments received; assisting with preparation of different types of domestic regulatory forms for foreign subsidiaries, creating work papers and making amendments. Additionally, I communicate with a vast number of professionals of different ranks not only internally but also with foreign government officials, external auditors, stores managers, and others.

Being a part of the Tax Department at Sherwin-Williams implies great responsibility. However, along with difficult tasks I am given, Sherwin-Williams is about people who make a difference within a cohesive professional team creating a family environment - this has made my adventure with Sherwin-Williams more enjoyable. Sherwin-Williams truly cares about its employees. Thus, I have been involved in different team-building activities and intern events within a company. Not that long ago, I even had a chance for small talk with our CEO, John Morikis. All these factors confirm that I am in the right place with the right people.
