Evan Andersky

Evan Andersky is the Monte Ahuja College of Business candidate for valedictorian for the Fall 2016 Graduation Ceremony. In addition to his exemplary school work, Evan was actively engaged in the Cleveland State University community. 

Evan served as an executive board member of the Campus Activities Board (CAB) in a number of roles including Vice President, Campus Traditions Chair and VP/Marketing Coordinator.

Evan led a team of students in the American Marketing Association Case Competition that developed a marketing campaign for IceBreakers Cool Blasts Chews. The team won an Honorable Mention in this international competition of 91 schools.

"Evan is an outstanding student," said Kimberly Ruggeri, College Lecturer, Department of Marketing, "His marketing strategy work is well beyond that of his peers. He has developed strategic marketing plans in class for non-profit and professional clients including Playhouse Square and G-Funk, an independent documentary."

Evan further refined his marketing skills with a co-op position in Brand Marketing at Sherwin-Williams for two years. 

"Evan consistently emerges as a leader in class group projects," added Ruggeri. "He has a calm, professional leadership style and elevates others. In the years I have known him he has done nothing but impress me. His quality of work and effort always exceed expectations. He has demonstrated engagement in his classes, with the CSU community and with the greater Cleveland community.  He is highly motivated and strives for excellence, yet he is extremely thoughtful and considerate in the process.  He is a true leader who has a very successful marketing career ahead of him.  I am confident Evan will continue to represent CSU extremely well as one of our distinguished alumni."
