Program Description
Prepare for a career as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in an accounting firm or in the public or private sectors. You will receive the preparation needed to sit for the Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified Fraud Examiner, Certified Internal Audit (CIA), Certificate in Financial Management and Certified Information Systems Audit (CISA) examinations.
You've never attended college or all your college credits were earned prior to high school graduation (College Credit Plus or dual-enrollment).
Step 1:
Complete the application for undergraduate admission. Freshmen applicants can apply here through the CSU application portal
Step 2:
Submit the $40 application fee.
*CSU is currently waiving application fees through Fall 2025
Step 3:
Submit official transcripts. Please refer to the FAQ below for information on how to send your transcripts.
Step 4:
CSU is test optional for Admission. Students are encouraged to submit official ACT/SAT results for scholarship consideration.
Step 5:
Once your application is submitted and reviewed, you will receive an admission decision. Respond to your offer and complete these next steps to secure your spot.

The requirements include modern accounting analytics courses that prepare students to use technology related to accounting and provide the aptitude for learning new technology as the industry evolves.
Prerequisites
- ACT 501 - Financial Accounting or equivalent
- BLW 511 - Business Law and Ethics or equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree in any major
Required Courses
Students must complete ten three-credit courses, 30 credit hours.
In addition to the eight required courses, students must select two electives from the Accounting Electives list or the Non-Accounting Electives list.
* Students may only use the Alternate Courses if they already have prior equivalent course credit, earned through undergraduate or graduate work, for the associated Required Course.
