2017 Real Estate Conference Speaker

Judson A. Kline, FAIA, is President of CIVITAD Services, LLC providing support and resources assisting economic development professionals in their pursuing vision and implementation of projects, bringing together assets required to deliver the projects and programs they generate. Jud is an architect in Ohio and several states with over 40 years of experience.

With Herschman Architects for 36 years, he was a partner and Vice President leading design and development for a variety of projects across the country. He is an Adjunct Professor and lecturer in the Kent State University College of Architecture and Environmental Design. 

He holds a Bachelor of Architecture Degree from Miami University, Ohio, and has studied at the Architecture Association of the Royal Institute of British Architects in London, and in the Graduate Engineering Program of Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. 

Jud is a Councilman in Orange Village, Ohio, and serves on the Planning Commission/ Design Review Board since 2001 and chairs the Orange Sustainable Building Committee leading the “Orange Goes Green Certification Program” for construction of residential, commercial and site development. He served as the 2001 AIA Cleveland and 2012 AIA Ohio President, 2012 co-chair of the National Women in Architecture Committee, and a member of the 2011 and 2012 AIA Diversity Council. He currently serves on the AIA Center for Civic Leadership and National K-12 Education Task Force. He is the Chair of the Advisory Board for the John Hay High School of Architecture and Design, ACE Mentors team leader and The Greater Cleveland Boy Scout Council Eagle Scout Committee and Explorer Post 14 Leader. 

In 2009, Jud was recognized by AIA Ohio with its Public Service Award. He was elevated to the College of Fellows in 2011 and now serves as Fellows Representative for the Ohio Valley Region. In 2016 he received the ACE Mentor of the Year Award. Jud has served as presidents of the Shaker Rotary, the Greater Cleveland Real Estate Organization and the Orange Boosters Club. He has authored several books and numerous articles along with being a speaker at AIA, ICSC, ULI, SARA, Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, Cleveland State University and Miami University.
