Eric Louttit is a Partner and the Chief Investment Officer of Fairmount Properties.  In this role, Eric is involved in virtually all aspects of the firm’s development projects and is instrumental in securing both debt and equity as well as other forms of capital for new and existing projects. 

Prior to joining Fairmount is 2017, Eric spent sixteen years with Forest City, where he most recently held the role of Senior Vice President of Development. Eric’s responsibilities included identifying and executing on development and redevelopment opportunities within Forest City’s retail portfolio. While at Forest City he completed projects including the expansion and renovation of the Galleria at Sunset Mall in Henderson, NV and the expansion and redevelopment of Boulevard Mall in Amherst, NY.  Prior to that Mr. Louttit served as Senior Vice President for Forest City Real Estate Services where he provided development consulting services to third-party clients.  Mr. Louttit predominately worked with university and public sector clients such as the University of New Mexico, the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and the City of Las Vegas.  In this role, he led the development of the new Las Vegas City Hall, among other responsibilities. 

Prior to moving into Forest City Real Estate Services in January 2012, Mr. Louttit served as a Vice President for Forest City Finance Corporation.  While serving in this capacity, he was responsible for obtaining construction financing, permanent financing, public financing and equity for Forest City’s commercial properties across the US. 

Before joining Forest City in 2001, Mr. Louttit was vice president in the Middle Market Real Estate Lending Group at KeyBank National Association.  Mr. Louttit has also previously worked as a real estate and corporate litigation attorney for Cain, Ackerman & McCormick, P.C. in Pittsburgh, PA. 

Mr. Louttit earned a B.S. in Broadcast Journalism from West Virginia University and a J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.  He is a member of the Urban Land Institute and the International Council of Shopping Centers.  Mr. Louttit resides in Brecksville and is married with two daughters.
