Certificate Description:
Designed to provide core concepts and principles of Accounting, the Basic Accounting Certificate introduces related disciplines such as budgeting, payroll and taxation. You will learn the key elements of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and their application in real-world situations; financial transaction recording and preparation of balance sheets, income statements and statements of cashflow; accounting for asset, liability, equity, revenue and expense accounts that comprise the balance sheet and income statement; financial ratios and other techniques used to analyze financial statements and the concepts and principles in related accounting and finance fields such as auditing, budgeting and taxation.
Certificate Coursework:
A certificate is awarded after completion of each of the required courses.
Students must register in each individual course separately or call 216.687.6957. This provides students the opportunity to move at their own pace.
