This international business study tour provided students the opportunity to learn about the culture and business practices in Spain. Students visited two of Spain’s most important and interesting cities, Barcelona and Madrid, as well Toledo (located near Madrid). The tour showcased several Spanish and American companies (such as Lincoln Electric) holding significant competitive positions in their respective industries. In addition, students had time for exploring the beautifully preserved city of Toledo.
This program was intended to broaden a student’s awareness of the international business climate, provide an understanding of the economic, political and cultural aspects of doing business in Spain and expose students to the theoretical foundations of global business strategies as well as the operational and marketing practices of firms headquartered in Europe conducting business throughout the world.
